Ek Shringaar – Swabhimaan (English: Self-Respect-An Adornment) commonly abbreviated as Swabhimaan is an Indian television series produced under the banner Rajshri Productions,[2] by Sooraj Barjatya. The show premiered on 19 December 2016,[3][4] on Colors TV and replaced the long-running show Swaragini.[5] This show is also available on Voot, Viacom18's Digital Platform. The show revolves around two sisters Meghna (Sangeeta Chauhan), Naina (Ankitta Sharma) and their mother Sharda (Prachi Shah) who has raised her daughters to be independent and self-sufficient. The series aired its final episode on 29 September 2017.[1] It was later shifted to the 11:00 PM Time Slot. It was replaced by Colors TV Show Laado - Veerpur Ki Mardani at the 9:30 PM Primetime Slot.[6]
Plot[edit]
Meghna and Naina Solanki are the beloved daughters of a school teacher and single mother, Sharda. After Meghna and Naina graduate, the three stay in Sharda's brother's house. She searches for a suitable groom for Meghna.
Meghna falls in love with Kunal, the eldest son of wealthy businessman Nand Kishore Chauhan. Nand Kishore comes across Sharda, who asks about his sons. He rebuffs her proposal and humiliates her.
Nand Kishore's father, Sujan, is impressed by Sharda's simplicity and teachings and agrees to Meghna’s marriage with Kunal. Naina and Karan (Kunal’s estranged brother, who is later revealed to have health issues) constantly bicker.
Naina makes fun of Karan, unaware of why he acts odd. Sharda organises a royal wedding on Nand Kishore's wish. On the wedding day, he is enraged by Sharda's sister-in-law Asha and lays down the condition that Naina marries Karan.
Nand Kishore humiliates Sharda, who bends down in front of him. Both couples get married, but Meghna decides to teach Nand Kishore a lesson for making Sharda suffer. Nand Kishore's wife Nirmala has lived under his domination.
Nirmala's friend Sandhya is overprotective of Kunal and is later revealed to be his biological mother. Naina forms a friendship with the shy and underconfident Karan. She helps him overcome his hesitations, facing many struggles.
Since childhood, Sandhya has been making Karan’s illness worse and Kunal the top boy to please Nand Kishore. Asha's son Vishal falls in love with and marries Nand Kishore's daughter Khyati.
Eventually, Naina and Karan fall in love after many turns of events and hurdles, and they remarry. The show ends happily as Nand Kishore realises his mistakes and begins treating his family with love and respect.

- Sasural Simar Ka on 21 April 2017 — Piyush who is possessed by Kaal, goes missing and Roshni tries to find her but fails but succeeds when Naina helps her. Simar motivates her when she tells her that she is going to compete against her sister.
- Dil Se Dil Tak on 16 & 19 June 2017 — Naina and Parth are trapped in a fire. Teni, Shorvori and Karan saves them.
- Dil Se Dil Tak on 3 July 2017 — Meghna, Kunal, Shorvori, Parth, Teni and Aman decides to meet at a resort in Chittorgarh. Sandhya asks a man to don't let them go there but don't harm anyone. The man tries to harm them for some personal reasons. Teni and Kunal saves Meghna from get drown in the water.
- Dil Se Dil Tak on 14 & 17 July 2017 — Meghna invites Shorvori and her family to her house for Haryali Teej. Meghna, Naina, Shorvori, Teni, Kunal, Karan, Parth and Aman tries to clear all the misunderstandings between Sujan and Purshottam.
