Dhund (tribe)

Dhund Abbasi is a tribe mainly found in the Murree as well as Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and the Rawalpindi district of the Punjab province of Pakistan, along with the Bagh and Muzaffarabad districts of Azad Kashmir. ^[1] They mainly speak or Pahari dialects or Punjabi as well as Hindko.^[2] They mainly descended from the Abbasid Caliphate. The word Dhund was an honorary name given to one of their forefathers.^[2]^[3]^[4]
