The 20978/20977 Delhi Cantonment–Ajmer Vande Bharat Express is India's 14th Vande Bharat Express train, connecting the states of New Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan.[1][2][3]

Overview[edit]

This train is operated by Indian Railways, connecting Delhi Cantonment, Gurgaon, Rewari Jn, Alwar Jn, Jaipur Jn and Ajmer Jn. It is currently operated with train numbers 20977/20978 on 6 days a week basis.[4][5][6]

Rakes[edit]

It is the twelfth 2nd Generation Vande Bharat Express train and was designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) under the leadership of Sudhanshu Mani at Perambur, Chennai under the Make in India initiative.

The Ajmer-Delhi Cantt. Vande Bharat Express will be the world's first semi high speed passenger train on high rise overhead electric (OHE) territory.[7][8]

The 20977/20978 Delhi Cantonment–Ajmer Vande Bharat Express will have 14 AC Chair Car and 2 Executive Chair Cars coaches.

The coaches in Aqua colour indicate AC Chair Cars and the coaches in Pink colour indicate AC Executive Chair Cars.
