Chhota Govindpur is a census town in Purbi Singhbhum district in the state of Jharkhand, India.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Chhota Govindpur had a population of 24,751. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Chhota Govindpur has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 82% and female literacy of 69%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
