Charlie Chaplin 2 is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Shakthi Chidambaram.[1] The film stars Prabhu Deva, Nikki Galrani and Prabhu in the lead roles. The film is a sequel to 2002 film Charlie Chaplin. The music for the film is scored by Amresh Ganesh. The film is produced by T. Siva under the production banner Amma Creations.[2] The film released on 25 January 2019.[3]
Plot[edit]
Thiru and his friends Akash, Dubai Raja and Chandana are frantically heading towards Tirupathi on a life or death matter. On the way, they get involved with a forest smuggler gang and lose their car but cross the hurdle and move on. Then the flashback tells the story of how Thiru fell in love with Sara the daughter of Dr. Ramakrishnan and both parents agree to their marriage. But a big mistake that Thiru and his friends make could break the marriage and that is why they are rushing to save the day. What is the mistake that Thiru makes and is he finally able to cross the hurdles and get his girl forms the rest of the screenplay.

Soundtrack[edit]
Soundtrack was composed by Amresh Ganesh. Senthil Ganesh and Rajalakshmi who won the finals of Vijay TV Super Singer sang their own song "Chinna Machan" for the film.[7] The song became a huge chartbuster.[8] Prabhu Deva made his debut as lyricist with this film for the song "Ivala Romba".[9] Soundtrack was released under the label Saregama.[10]

Marketing[edit]
The official trailer of the film was unveiled by popular director Karthik Subbaraj on 15 January 2019 on the eve of Thai Pongal.[11][12]
