Komal Sharma is an Indian Actress, International Model, National Squash Player. As a sportsperson Komal Sharma got lot of offers to endorse various National and International brands. She won the title call Miss Metropolis 2011 and continued winning pagents like Sunsilk Miss Tamil Nadu, Lux Miss Beautiful Skin of Tamil Nadu, Lux Miss Beautiful Skin of South India, IBIBO I Fresh Face of South India,twice crowned as Miss Tamil Nadu in two different event. After Succeeded in these fields she was offerd in leading roles. She won the best actor award from American Film Festival 2018. She Acted with Mohanlal in Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea which is Nominated for best feature film at Oscars 2022.[1] And Also in Bollywood Hungama 2 Which is Directed by Priyadarshan, And She Recently Acted in Shot Boot 3 Directed by Arun Vaidyanathan and The Movie " Public " with Samuthirakani Which is Directed by Raa Paraman.[2]

Early lifeEdit

Komal Sharma was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu India to a North Indian family who had settled there four decades ago. the youngest among her four siblings. She completed her schooling in S.K.P, India. She earned her Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) from Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College for Women, Chennai. She earned her Honorary Doctorate in 2018. She joined the Squash Racquets Federation of India (SRFI) and won several junior and senior National Squash championships. She even completed the 21 km Chennai Marathon.

CareerEdit

Former squash player Komal Sharma has given up her passion for sports and replaced it with films. After the release of her debut film Sattapadi Kutram, she says she is taking films seriously now. She says, I played squash for more than six years and have represented Tamil Nadu several times in national level tournaments, even winning a bunch of medals. Squash has been everything to me since my school days. Later,my focus shifted to films as many of my friends insisted that I give it a try. After my film debut, I have put squash on hold and am completely into films. I think my background in sports gives me stamina during long shoots. All my fitness training has been helping me to stay in shape for the glamorous roles in my forthcoming films. After succeeding in these fields. She was offered lead roles in ace directors movies in Tamil movie industry. Her motto was to create social awareness among the youngsters using the media... So she was very specific in choosing characters in movies...this gave a fine edge to her film career.. She was roped in for Challenging characters in movies... In Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi film industry...[3]

In 2013, she was offered a role in S. A. Chandrasekhar's Sattapadi Kutram.[2][4] Before its release, she completed Oothari, directed by Shakti Krishna.[5] Sharma's third movie was Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA directed by Manivannan. Nagaraja Cholan cholan MA, MLA is the sequel to Amaidipadai. Sharma works in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language movies.[citation needed] Anu is a Telugu movie directed and produced by Sunil Kumar. It is Komal's Telugu debut with co-stars Suman and Possani Ramakrishnan. Immediately after that she signed Vaigai Express in Tamil directed by director Shaji Kailash. Natrinai is a Tamil movie directed and produced by director Gautham Elangovan. Marakkar arbikadalinte simham is her debut movie in malyalam directed by director Priyadarshan, before its release Marakkar has won three national awards, In Marakkar she is paired opposite to actor Arjun Sarja. Ittymani made in China is directed by director Jibi and Joju the movie was commercially successful among Onam release movies. She won best actress award at chilli International film festival for her movie Security short film directed by director Udhaya Alagappan. Security has won many international awards at various film festivals. Komal's next in Tamil is Shot Boot 3 directed by Director Arunachalam Vaidhyanathan. Komal has finished another untitled Tamil movie Director Samuthirakani is doing a titular role in this.
