Chanwai is a village in Akkalkuwa in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 34 kilometres (21 mi) from sub district headquarter and 88 kilometres (55 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 231 houses and a population of 1145 of which 575 are males while 570 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 0 people are from Schedule Caste and 1144 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
