Season chronology

Bigg Boss 2 is the second season of the Telugu-language version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss. It premiered on June 10, 2018 on Star Maa. Nani hosted the show. It was the second longest season (112 days) in Indian versions of Bigg Boss. Unlike the first season, this season featured general public along with celebrities as housemates. For this season of Bigg Boss, a lavish house set has been constructed in Backlots of Annapurna Studios 7 Acres, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

The season was extended by one week (112 days) instead of the actual 105 days format of the show. Among the five finalists, Kaushal Manda emerged as the winner with highest number of public votes, followed by Geetha Madhuri as runner-up, Tanish Alladi, Deepti Nallamothu and Samrat Reddy as third, fourth and fifth respectively.

In this task, contenders have used some items from the stall provided in the garden area and have to advertise in a creative manner by using items from the stall. 100 tokens are given to remaining housemates to elect their captain by their performance. → Total tokens won by contenders: Ganesh 175, Sanjana Anne 130, Bhanu Sree 380, and Samrat Reddy won week 2 captaincy with 395 tokens.

They were assisted by Geetha (chancellor) and they chose a team that would work for the princess. The other housemates became villagers and were asked to stay in huts set up in the garden area of the house. Round One Then two contestants entered the activity room to compete in a task to join the King's Team. → Winners of Mud Pit tasks given by BIGG BOSS joined King's Team and remaining housemates became villagers who work for the princess. → King's Team members are Amit, Samrat, Babu Gogineni, Ganesh, Bhanu, and Kireeti. → Princess Team members are Deepthi Sunaina, Tejaswi, Roll Rida, Syamala, Tanish, and Kaushal. Round Two BIGG BOSS placed one diamond in the living area which gives housemates more points to win Round two. → The losing team's leader will be locked in jail by the winning team's leader. Raju Gari Malla is a task which hosted by Geetha. In this task, two teams have to get as many flowers from the pool in the garden area to make a garland. Princess Team won the task with 96 flowers. Raja Simhasanam is a task which hosted by Geetha. Nandhini (Princess) sits on a chair and two teams have to pull the chair to win. King's Team won by pulling the chair to their side. BIGG BOSS announced Princess Team as the winner of round two and ordered Nandhini (Princess) to lock Nutan Naidu (King), and Deepti Nallamothu (Queen) in jail. Round Three Princess Team had to protect the jail key, which was placed in gym area, for eight hours to win the luxury budget task. King's team had to steal the key and rescue Nutan Naidu (King) and Deepti Nallamothu (Queen) to win the luxury budget task.

	Day 12	Captaincy Task	Oopiri Unnantha Varaku Contenders are Tanish, Kaushal, and Amit. The task is for the three contestants to hold on to a rope on a T stand arranged in the garden area. While the other housemates do everything and anything they can to get them to release their hold on the rope and get off the podium. From tickling, shaving beards, dumping toothpaste to using lemon—housemates tried everything. None of them gave up. Housemates decided Amit as the right person and convinced Kaushal & Tanish to leave the rope. Amit Tiwari won week 3 Captaincy

	Day 16,17,18	Luxury Budget Task	BIGG BOSS Sugar Cane Factory Bigg Boss house became a sugar cane factory. In this task, there are two teams and one quality-check manager. Yellow team owner is Kaushal, Green team owner is Kireeti Damaraju and the quality-check manager and chancellor of the task is Bhanu Sree. Two teams have to complete the sugar cane juice bottles order given by Bigg Boss by using sugar cane juice machines placed in the garden area and save Bigg Boss money to win. The Quality-check manager should check the quality and accept or reject the bottles. Level One → Order One given by Bigg Boss 25 juice bottles for both teams. Green team won with 25 bottles. → Order Two given by Bigg Boss 50 bottles. Both teams failed to complete the order. → Order Three given by Bigg Boss 100 bottles. Bigg Boss canceled the order because the green team cheated by mixing water with sugar cane juice in bottles. Level Two → Order One given by Bigg Boss 100 bottles. Both teams failed to complete the order. → Order Two given by Bigg Boss 75 bottles. Both teams completed. But the yellow team won with 77 bottles. Yellow team are with 73,000 of Bigg Boss money worker (Tejaswi) and 15,000 with owner after giving wages to workers while the green team lost with 53,000 of Bigg Boss money worker (Ganesh) and 0 money with owner after giving wages to workers. And 31,000 Bigg boss money with quality-check manager (Bhanu Sree). Kaushal and Tejaswi awarded with special vote power by Bigg Boss for winning luxury budget task.

Wardens and security guards had to prevent lovers' secret rendezvous, gift exchanges and entering the activity room. If boy met a girl and exchanged their gifts, the hostel staff lost points. Hostel wardens:: Babu Gogineni and Geetha Madhuri Security guards:: Shyamala and Ganesh. Chedu Team:: Tejeswi Madiwada, Samrat Reddy, Ganesh, Bhanu Sree, Amit Tiwari and Geetha Madhuri. Manchi team had to clean things in the house and they had to cook for all housemates. Chedu team tried to make the house dirty. Manchi team had to protect three lotus flowers and red apples to not lose points and chedu team had to destroy those flowers and protect black apples to gain points. The apple tree was in garden area it contains red and black apples. While chedu team won the task Bigg Boss gave 2600 amazon.in luxury budget points for good performances by both the teams and 200 points were deducted due to tejaswi destroyed the cleaning mop therefore housemates won 2400 amazon.in luxury budget points to buy luxury items.

Amit as Director, Deepti nallamothu as Assistant director(A.D), Roll Rida as Director of photography(DOP), Tejaswi madivada as choreographer, makeup man and Stylist. Level one:- Director, Assistant Director and DOP have to prepare a story and its characters. The film should be in the order like Beginning, Romance, Action, and climax. Level Two:- Auditions has to be conducted by Amit(Director), Deepti Nallamothu(A.D), and Roll Rida(DOP) in the Activity Room. The remaining housemates had to audition to be selected to be a character for the film. Rejected housemates became helping crew in the film and were not eligible for the next captaincy task.

One should swim to bring body spray bottle in the pool, one should walk from the pool to the standing person, and one should stand at the table. Swimming member have to bring only one fog body spray bottle at a time and had to give it to their walking team member and the walking member will give it to their standing member and he/she will place the bottle on the table. Geetha Madhuri was chancellor for this task. Team one:- Kaushal, Deepti Nallamothu and Nandhini. Team Two:- Samrat Reddy, Tanish Alladi, Deepthi Sunaina. Team One:- Deepthi Sunaina, Deepti Nallamothu, Geetha Madhuri, Pooja Ramachandran, Samrat Reddy and Roll Rida. Team Two:- Amit Tiwari, Ganesh, Babu Gogineni, Tanish, Nandini and Kaushal. Day 1: Team One were survivors and Team Two were pirates. Roles are reversed on Day 2. Pirates have to attempt to drag survivors out off the plank while Survivors were supposed to hang on a plank and shouldn't touch the ground after stepping onto a plank. Team one won this luxury budget task by surviving three hours on planks as survivors.

	Day 58,59	Luxury Budget Task	Purushulaki mahilalaki Madhya Anthima Yuddham In this task, housemates are divided into two teams:- Boys Team and Girls Team. Every team controls any 2 places in the house. Teammates have to spend gold coins to use the area of other team. The bedroom and kitchen were controlled by the girls team, while living room and bathroom were controlled by the boys team. To get more gold coins, team mates have to finish some tasks given by bigg boss. The team with the most coins wins the task. Some Intermediate tasks:- Sharira Drudatvamtho Kudukunnadi: In this task, four girls and four boys have to participate. There are two tires in the gym area. One should sit on the tire and the other pull them from the yellow mark(Starting point) to the red mark(End point). Boys team won this task and was awarded with one gold coin packet. Samayaspurthitho Kudukunnadi: There are two lines and one center point in the garden area. Both teams have to decide there numbers from 1 to 4 chancellor will say one number they should try to get gold coin packet from the center point. Boys team won 3 gold coin packets. Kabaddi: Kabaddi sport between the boys and girls teams. There are five round the one with most points win the task. Boys team won this task with 4 points. Box opening: There are some locked boxes in the garden area and keys in the pool. Both the teams have to get the keys from the pool and open the boxes. All boxes contain one gold coin. Boys team won. Quiz to Girls: In this task the quiz master is Tanish and the score marker is Ganesh. Three girls from mahilalu team has to answer 20 out of 30 general knowledge(GK) questions to win gold coins. Girls lost this task by answering 16 out of 30 questions. Purushulu vantacheyaleru:In this task boys team have to cook some food ordered by bigg boss in 45 minutes to win gold coin packet. Purushulu team won this task. Mahilalu team has 325 coins. Purushulu team won this luxury budget task with 330 gold coins.

Contenders have to select one color and start painting the white board. Whoever's paint color is most visible on the board will become the next captain of the house. Customers have to irritate the executives and make them disconnect the call to gain one point. Team One members are call center executives and Team Two members are customers on Day 1. Roles are reversed on Day 2. Kaushal team won the task with 10 points and they were awarded with 2400 Luxury Budget points to buy luxury items.

	Day 79,80	Luxury Budget Task	Murder Mystery This is a luxury budget game. In this game, Bigg Boss asked to pick one box in the confession room by housemates secretly. Randomly it consists of a white pearl, a red pearl and a black pearl. The housemate who got a white pearl will become a public team people, the red pearl person becomes a killer, the black pearl persons become police and a detective man. Killer: Geetha Madhuri has to do some tasks given by Bigg Boss to kill a public member to win the task and to gain immunity for Week 13. Public Team: Kaushal, Amit Tiwari, Nutan Naidu, Samrat, Syamala, Deepti Nallamothu, Tanish. Public team have to protect their lives from the killer to win the task, If any housemate is murdered by the killer he/she should enter the graveyard arranged in the garden area. Police and Detective: Roll Rida is the police and Ganesh is the detective. Both have to find the killer to win the task. Housemates don't know who is the killer and who are public members and everyone knows who is the police and the detective. Following tasks done by Geetha Madhuri to kill Public team members:- Geetha Madhuri should complete all five tasks to win immunity and a special power. Task 1: She has to irritate one housemate and anger him. Geetha Madhuri successfully made Kaushal angry and killed him. Task 2: She has to feed food to one housemate. Geetha Madhuri successfully made Samrat to eat bread by his hands and killed him. Task 3: She has to write one housemate's name on the mirror in the bathroom area. Geetha Madhuri successfully wrote Amit's name and killed him. Task 4: She has to dance with one housemate. Geetha Madhuri danced with Syamala and killed her. Task 5: She has to spoil one housemate's bed by using any food products. Geetha Madhuri successfully spoiled Deepti's bed and killed her. As per Bigg Boss’ instructions, the police (Roll Rida) and Detective (Ganesh) had to name, investigate their 3 suspects in a witness box and then announce their final conclusion along with evidence. Roll Rida and Ganesh reported to Bigg Boss that Tanish is the killer and lost the task. All tasks were done secretly by Geetha Madhuri and she won immunity for Week 13 and special power to nominate one housemate throughout the season and they awarded with 2000 luxury budget points to buy luxury items.

Contenders have to cycle until the buzzer sounds. After the buzzer sounded, Bigg Boss announced that there are two contenders still cycling therefore there are no winner and no captain for Week 13.

Bigg Boss given some different solo song to each housemate. Bigg Boss plays a song any time, housemates have to remember their song whenever song plays housemate have to dance on the dance floor arranged in living area. If any housemate goes late on to the dance floor or if the housemate dances to the wrong song, they'll lose luxury budget points. Continually Bigg Boss sends cakes on the occasion of Bigg Boss's birthday. Housemates have to wish happy birthday to Bigg Boss and they have to eat cake every time he sends throughout the day 87 by continuing Tollywood Marathon task.
	Day 88 to Day 89	Special Task	Ticket to Grand Finale This is a task which grants immunity for a housemate to become a finalist for the season. There is a car in the garden area and this task lasts for exactly 24 hours. Housemates have to enter the car when the start buzzer rings. The first 5 members who sit in the car will be contenders of this task. Housemates should not step out of the car until the buzzer sounds. There should be only 1 housemate in the car at the time of the end buzzer, if there more than 1 housemate in the car, will result in total lose of task no one will get immunity. Contenders:- Geetha Madhuri, Tanish, Deepti Nallamothu, Samrat and Syamala. At the end of the day there were 3 housemates in the car, therefore no one was eligible to get immunity and become a finalist. Bigg Boss announced that there will be no captaincy task and no captain for Week 14 for losing the Ticket to Finale task

	Day 92	Tasks	Oppo F9 Pro Fully Charged In this task housemates are divided into two teams. Twilight Blue:Kaushal, Tanish, Roll Rida, and Samrat. Sun Rise Red:Geetha, Deepti, and Amit. There are two mobile phones on stands and two sets of boxes(Each set consist of 100 boxes) in the garden area. Both the teams have to find the charger from the boxes in the garden area after the buzzer sounded, and they can stop other teams effort in searching, and they have to charge only for 5 minutes in the gym area. Bigg Boss sounds a start buzzer to take selfies with using the features in the mobile phone, while others can spoil their selfies. Twilight Blue Team won the task with clear selfies and got a phone call from the public.
	Day 93,94	Luxury Budget Task	Bigg Boss Remote Control This is an individual luxury budget task. All housemates have follow the orders passed by BIGG BOSS. List of orders given by Bigg Boss: Freeze - Housemate(s) have to freeze immediately. Rewind - Housemate(s) have to rewind immediately. Fast Forward - Housemate(s) have to do their work in fast motion. Release - Housemate(s) are released from all orders temporary. Housemate(s) have to dance to the Bigg Boss Telugu 2 theme music in the garden area. Housemates won 800 luxury budget points to buy luxury items.
	Day 95	Captaincy Task	Thudhivaraku Contender: Deepti Nallamothu, Samrat, Amit, Roll Rida, Geetha Madhuri, and Tanish. Kaushal was a chancellor for this task. There were 6 glasses placed in the garden area with coloured water in each of it. Each housemate had to pick the glass and must not put the glass down until 5 buzzers. Upon each buzzer, one glass should be emptied. The housemates can either negotiate or use any other method to convince other housemate put the glass down. The housemates can hide anywhere in the house except washrooms. Bigg Boss announced that no one followed the given rules and making their own rules to play the task. There were no housemate with full or more than half the glass with coloured water, therefore there is no captain for week 15.

	Day 100,101, 102	Tasks	Race To Finale This is the task which gives another opportunity to get immunity from eviction and to become a first finalist for the housemates. In this task there are two levels. The winners of level one will be qualified for level two. Level 1:- Mee Esuka Jaagratha There are three sand containers in the garden area. Roll Rida, Geetha Madhuri, and Kaushal have to protect their respective sand container, while Deepti Nallamothu, Tanish, and Samrat have to empty or destroy their sand containers after start buzzer sounded. At the end buzzer the contestant with more amount of sand becomes eligible for the level two. The roles get reversed subsequently to decide the second qualifier for the level two. Roll Rida and Samrat qualified for level two. Level 2:- Kodi Gudllu Jaagratha There are two egg bowls for one each. Samrat and Roll Rida have to protect their respective egg bowls to win the task. Remaining housemates can try to brake their eggs. Contenders can hide anywhere in house except washrooms. Samrat won the task and gained immunity from week's eviction and became a first finalist of the season.
	Day 103	Luxury Budget Task	Baanthi Jaagratha There were two tables in the garden area. one table consists of a tray of smiley ball on which luxury items names were written and on the other table had an empty tray. The housemates had to stand in a line adjacent to each other between the tables, pick the smiley balls with their mouth, pass on the ball mouth-to-mouth and drop them into the empty tray. Housemates collected 10 balls and they awarded with 10 luxury items.
