Bharatpedia:Closure requests is a venue where editors may ask an uninvolved editor to formally close a discussion that has run its course. It is commonly used for requests for comment, requested moves, articles for deletion, and similar structured discussions.

When to request closure[edit source]

A closure may be requested when:

  • The discussion has been open for the minimum required period — typically seven days for a request for comment, and five to seven days for a deletion discussion.
  • The discussion has reached a point where further comments are unlikely to change the outcome.
  • The discussion is complex enough that a summary and reasoned determination of consensus would be helpful.
  • No uninvolved editor has volunteered to close the discussion.

How to request closure[edit source]

To request a closure, add an entry to the list below in the following format:

* [[Page or section where the discussion is located]] – brief description of the discussion and its subject

Include the date and your signature. Editors who are themselves involved in the discussion should not close it.
