Bharat Singh Kushwah, (born 4 September 1970[1]) alternatively spelt as Bharat Singh Kushwaha, is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh, who was elected to Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Gwalior Rural Assembly constituency in 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Kushwah is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and is serving as Minister of State in the Ministry of Horticulture and Food Processing (Independent Charge) of Madhya Pradesh. He is a two term MLA from Gwalior Rural Assembly constituency.[2][3][4][5]

Life and career[edit]

Kushwah was pitted against Indian National Congress candidate, Madan Kushwah in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. He was able to defeat him and retained the constituency for the second time.[6] The electoral contest of 2018 became triangular as Bahujan Samaj Party had made Sahab Singh Gurjar as their candidate.[7][8]
