Bhabesh Kalita is a Bharatiya Janata Party politician from Assam. He has been elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016 and 2021 from Rangiya constituency.[1][2][3] He joined the BJP in 1991 and was secretary of the State BJP in 2006 and general secretary from 2011. He was Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Irrigation as well as Minister of State for Education in Sarbananda Sonowal ministry from 2016 to 2021. He was elected as BJP Assam President on 26 June 2021.[4][5]
