Behed is a village in Sakri tehsil in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from sub district headquarter and 87 kilometres (54 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 525 houses and a population of 2235 of which 1155 are males while 1080 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 192 people are from Schedule Caste and 532 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
