Balwand is a village in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 18 kilometres (11 mi) from sub district headquarter and 18 kilometres (11 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 407 houses and a population of 2077 of which 1051 are males while 1026 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 210 people are from Schedule Caste and 661 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
