History[edit | edit source]
The land for the school was donated by Samsuddin Pandit. He wanted to construct an educational centre in maharajahat village. Pandit and several other people started the school in response to a lack of literacy among the people of maharajahat village, and named it after the village.
The school had just a few students when it opened, but now has more than 2,000 students enrolled. It has become one of the biggest schools in the area.
Recently, maharajahat High School opened a science department, and is constructing a new building for it.
