Asane is a village in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from sub district headquarter and 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 450 houses and a population of 2253 of which 1147 are males while 1106 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 60 people are from Schedule Caste and 225 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
