Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus[3] Jalandhar was established in 1997 under the aegis of the Apeejay Education Society,[4] founded by Dr.Stya Paul.[5] It was granted the status of a technical campus in 2012 by the All India Council of Technical Education.

The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education[6] (AICTE) and the government of Punjab, and is affiliated with Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Apart from a PhD in management, the institute offers postgraduate courses of MBA and MCA under its three schools.
