Amaravathipudur is situated in the southern part of Karaikudi Municipal Corporation in the Sivaganga District which is 7 km from the center of the Karaikudi City. This village panchayat has a total of 7 panchayat constituencies. 7 Panchayat Council members are elected from these. Sankarapathi Fort[edit | edit source]
Sankarapathi Fort is located in the northern entrance of this village on the western side of National Highway NH536. [4] which is more than 200 years old.
