Alai Balai is a cultural event held during the Navarathri festivities before Dassera. It showcases the life of people in State of Telangana. The festival aims to spread camaraderie and brotherhood among people.[1]

History[edit]

The festival was started by Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Himachal Pradesh and Former MP and Central Minister first at Nizam College. The event is held every year in Hyderabad on the occasion of Dasara festival.[2]

The event is well attended by all sections and politicians of all regions. A typical ambience of the rural area in Telangana is created and is popular for the food festival for its traditional food delicacies.[3][4]
