The 70th Filmfare Awards was presented by The Times Group, which honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2024.[2]
Laapataa Ladies led the ceremony with a record 24 nominations, the most for a single film in a year,[3][4] and won a leading 13 awards including, Best Film and Best Director (for Kiran Rao).[5]

The ceremony, held at EKA Arena, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, honoured the films released in 2024. Shahrukh Khan hosted for the first time since the 63rd Filmfare Awards.
