Charaghata is a village within the jurisdiction of the Jaynagar police station in the Jaynagar I CD block in the Baruipur subdivision of the South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Charaghata is located at 22Ā°13ā²49ā³N 88Ā°32ā²36ā³Eļ»æ / ļ»æ22.2304Ā°N 88.5432Ā°E. It has an average elevation of 8 metres (26 ft).

As per 2011 Census of India, Charaghata had a total population of 5,837.[3]
Transport[edit | edit source]
A short stretch of local roads link Charaghata to the Gocharan-Dhosa Road.[4]
Gocharan railway station is located nearby.[4]
Healthcare[edit | edit source]
Padmerhat Rural Hospital, with 30 beds, at Padmerhat, is the major government medical facility in the Jaynagar I CD block.[5]
