Urkhao Gwra Brahma is a politician, poet and social worker who works for betterment of the Bodo society. He was a Member of the Parliament of India representing Assam in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.[1] He got Sahitya Academy Award for his poetry Udangnifrai Gidingfinnanwi in 2014.[2] He was a President of the United People's Party Liberal.[3]
