Urkhao Gwra Brahma (born 1964) is an Indian politician and poet of United People's Party Liberal and current Minister for Handloom & Textile, Soil Conservation and Welfare of Bodoland, Government of Assam since 10 May 2021. He was a former Member of the Parliament of India representing Assam in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.[1] He got Sahitya Academy Award for his poetry उदांनिफ्राय गिदिंबोफिनन्नाय (Return from Freedom) in 2014.[2] He was a founder president of the United People's Party Liberal.[3]
