Karki (Devanagari:ą¤ą¤¾ą¤°ą„ą¤ą„) is a Nepali/Kumaoni surname found among the Chettri community of Nepal and the Kshatriya/Pahari Rajput community of Uttarakhand. Karki is one of the prominent Chettri clans in Nepal.[1] It was also a title given to the tax collectors in the medieval Khasa Kingdom.[2]
