Gavarapalem

Gavarapalem is a residential area of Anakapalle, [1]a residential neighborhood in the city of Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh, India[2][3]. It is inhabited by the Gavara caste.[4]. It includes famous places like Nookambika Temple, Sri Gowri Parameswara Temple and Pedaramaswamy Temple, Chinaramaswamy Temple,Bhogalingeswara swamy temple, Santoshi Mata Temple, Suryanarayana Swamy Temple, Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple. Famous places like the Kobbari Thota area are located here. Famous people like Buddha Mahalakshmi Naidu who got the title of Rao Saheb from the British. Also prominent political figures Villuri Venkata Ramana, Konathala Ramakrishna, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao,Beesetti Apparao Belongs to this famous place. It also has some other caste streets like Mutrasi Veedhi, Dasari Gedda. Famous junctions like Bangla Junction and Sunkara Metta are located here. The Gauri Parameswara temple festival located in Sathakampattu[5] is celebrated every year in the month of January. More than 1 lakh people attend this festival[6]
Gavarapalem is a part of Anakapalli town and there is a village named Gavarapalem specifically in K.Kotapadu which also has Gavaras. Gavarapalem in the town is different, K. Kotapadu mandal's Gavarapalem village is different. Gavarapalem village of K. Kotapadu mandal is 37 km away from Gavarapalemarea in the town.[7]
