The plot focuses on Isha Nimkar (Datar), a chawl-dwelling girl who falls in love with a wealthy businessman Vikrant Saranjame (Bhave) beyond the barrier of age and gets married to him, while unaware about his shocking past and her connection with his first deceased wife Rajnandini (Tulaskar).
Plot
Isha Nimkar (Gayatri Datar) is a sober middle-class girl living in a chawl with her parents. One day, she has to deliver a speech at the "K.T. College" honoring the chief guest Vikrant Saranjame (Subodh Bhave), a wealthy industrialist in the "Saranjame Group of Industries" who lives with his widowed mother Snehalata a.k.a. Aaisaheb (Vidya Karanjikar), younger brother Jaydeep (Ashutosh Gokhale) and arrogant sister-in-law Soniya (Purniema Dey) in a large mansion in Karjat, Maharashtra. Due to his fame and greatness, Vikrant has become a dear public figure surrounded by many people, including his close friend Vilas Zende (Umesh Jagtap) who is also his personal assistant.
Also, Isha's father Arun Nimkar (Mohiniraj Gatne) works in one of the stores of "Rajnandini Sarees" which is owned by Vikrant. On his way to the college, Vikrant's bicycle breaks down and thus he shares an auto-rickshaw with Isha when he meets her for the first time. Isha does not recognize Vikrant in the auto-rickshaw and speaks rudely to him for having money to pay, although she pays the fare of him too. Later at the college, Isha is shocked to see Vikrant entering as the chief guest and bursts into tears. Due to this commotion, she forgets her speech that lists many accomplishments of Vikrant, which leads to all her college-mates teasing her.
However, Vikrant defends Isha by advising her and her college-mates to always trust themselves in any situation, and also gains Isha's trust by handing her over a blank cheque. Despite this, Isha and Mr. Nimkar modestly decide to return the blank cheque to Vikrant against the wishes of Isha's mother Pushpa (Gargi Phule). The next day, Isha takes the envelope containing Vikrant's cheque to his office and hands it over to his secretary Myra Karkhanis (Abhidnya Bhave). However, Myra is shocked to discover that the envelope is empty and humiliates Isha for being after a rich personality under some pretext.
Meanwhile, Vikrant reaches Isha's house to return her money from the auto-rickshaw fare, but Pushpa misunderstands him for the fridge repairer and tries to make him repair the fridge. Later, Isha runs into Mr. Nimkar on the streets and they learn that Pushpa has gone to deposit Vikrant's cheque in the bank. Just as Pushpa is about to fill in the amount on the cheque, Isha and Mr. Nimkar intervene and refuse to let her do so. Pushpa then apologises to Vikrant after learning about his true identity from Isha. Also, Isha and Mr. Nimkar return the cheque to Vikrant and request him to keep it.
Further, Vikrant falls in love with Isha and offers her a job in his company. As time passes, Isha begins to develop feelings for Vikrant too, while Myra and Zende try to separate the lovebirds due to the fact that she also loves Vikrant. However, Myra and Zende's each plan backfires and Vikrant invites Isha to his mansion. While there, he reveals her the truth about his deceased wife named "Rajnandini", whom he loved a lot and whose sudden demise had left him much disturbed. Therefore, he named the company of "Rajnandini Sarees" in the memory of his late wife.
Upon learning this, Isha despises Vikrant for hiding this from her and storms off, but it turns out to be just a prank. Actually, Isha has forgiven Vikrant for respecting her while telling her all this. Later, Vikrant takes Isha for a helicopter ride and proposes marriage to her mid-air. Impressed with his unique way of proposing, Isha agrees to marry Vikrant but the couple faces opposition from Mr. Nimkar due to their age difference, although Pushpa agrees for their relationship. With support from Zende, Aaisaheb and Pushpa, Vikrant and Isha ultimately manage to convince Mr. Nimkar and have a grand marriage ceremony under Myra and Zende's organisation.
After their marriage, things unexpectedly start changing when the audience sees a dark side of Vikrant and Zende. It is suddenly revealed that Vikrant's late father Dadasaheb had stated in his will that he can never inherit the Saranjame property and that Rajnandini is the real owner of it. Therefore, Vikrant married Isha to use her as a pawn to obtain the Saranjame property. Following his plan, Vikrant tries to pretend that Isha is the reincarnation of Rajnandini so that Aaisaheb and Jaydeep (who are the current owners of the Saranjame property) can easily transfer the Saranjame property to Isha.
After a couple of months, Isha discovers an ongoing fraud in the Saranjame company and the name of the fraudster is revealed to be "Gajendra Patil". Upon learning this, Vikrant and Zende mysteriously make an actor take the blame of being the fraudster and have him arrested by the police. However, Isha goes on to visit the election commission office to enrol Vikrant's name in the voting list, where she is stunned to see the name "Gajendra Patil" with Vikrant's photograph. At the same time, she shockingly learns from Jaydeep and Soniya that Rajnandini was actually Aaisaheb's stepdaughter and Jaydeep's stepsister, and that Vikrant was the son-in-law of Dadasaheb who made him change his last name to Saranjame.
Also, Jalindar Mane (Sandesh Jadhav), an archenemy of Vikrant, confesses about the latter's true identity and colours to Isha soon after he is released from prison. Having become sure of Vikrant's deception, a devastated Isha meets the Jogtin (Urmila Katkar), a woman asking for alms, and wishes to find the purpose of her life from the Goddess Ambabai. At this point, the beautiful face of a mysterious woman (Shilpa Tulaskar) is reflected back upon Isha from the divine plate of water. Eventually, a confused and heartbroken Isha confronts Vikrant over his true identity and Rajnandini's relationship with Aaisaheb and Jaydeep. However, Vikrant regains Isha's trust by narrating her a fake story of the past involving him and Rajnandini.
Further, Vikrant takes Isha to a private room of him in the Saranjame mansion, where all of Rajnandini's belongings are kept safely by him as souviners along with Dadasaheb's photograph. He goes on to uncover the large photograph of Rajnandini in the room before Isha. Isha is horrified to recognize Rajnandini as the mysterious woman whose beautiful face was reflected upon her from the divine plate of water. Due to the shock, Isha falls unconscious in the room itself and all of Rajnandini's life events miraculously flash past her eyes in her unconsciousness.
A flashback shows that the middle-aged Rajnandini lived happily in the mansion with Aaisaheb, a younger Jaydeep and Dadasaheb (Anil Khopkar). One day, her car breaks down on her way to an important meeting with Jalindar at his office. Thus, Rajnandini shares an auto-rickshaw with Gajendra Patil (Vikrant), an orphan who lives in a chawl with his childhood friend Zende. Gajendra is educated but unemployed while Zende is a street-smart boy who can easily fool people. Gajendra is revealed to be going to the same destination for an interview with Jalindar and falls in love with Rajnandini due to her richness.
After the two reach their destination, Gajendra intervenes during Rajnandini and Jalindar's meeting and gives his interview to Jalindar before Rajnandini. An unimpressed Jalindar initially rejects Gajendra due to his low percentage of marks. However, Gajendra is ultimately selected in Jalindar's company on the recommendation of Rajnandini, who was impressed with his attitude during the interview. As time passes, Rajnandini falls in love with Gajendra too and he eventually proposes marriage to her.
Despite Dadasaheb's hesitance to approval, Rajnandini gets married to Gajendra in a temple and rechristens him as "Vikrant" after the name of the male protagonist in the book titled Tula Pahate Re that Aaisaheb had gifted to her on her birthday. Rajnandini even recruits "Vikrant" as the heir to the Saranjame company, much to everyone's puzzlement. However, Jalindar hands over all the evidences against Vikrant and Zende to Dadasaheb, who disowns Vikrant through a harsh insult in private and secretly changes his will. An offended Vikrant immediately retaliates by arranging Dadasaheb to be killed in the consumption of wrong medicine.
Further, Vikrant also changes Dadasaheb's postmortem reports and secretly holds Aaisaheb responsible for his sudden demise. Meanwhile, Jalindar tries to tell Rajnandini the truth by meeting her in private but she refuses to believe him. Now, Vikrant has Zende kill Jalindar's own employee named Shivpurkar and frames Jalindar for the murder, causing Jalindar to be arrested by the police. Also, Vikrant and Zende prohibit the late Dadasaheb's photograph from the office. However, things take a turn when Rajnandini visits the office and learns about Vikrant's new rule about Dadasaheb's photograph.
On this development, Rajnandini goes to meet Jalindar in prison where he confesses about Vikrant's true colours to her. Moreover, Rajnandini has a microphone fixed in Vikrant's office cabin to expose his truth. As a result, all the conspiracies of Vikrant and Zende are recorded in the microphone. Upon receiving this proof, Rajnandini regrets her blind faith in Vikrant before meeting him in private on the mansion terrace, where she threatens to hand over all the evidences against him to the police. However, a miserable Vikrant mercilessly forced Rajnandini off the terrace to her unfortunate end on the fateful night.
The story catches up to the present where a horrified Isha wakes up to have a gut feeling that she is indeed the "reincarnation" of Rajnandini who has returned to seek revenge from Vikrant. The next day, while wandering aimlessly, Isha ends up at her maternal home where she does not hesitate to inform her parents about this development. Mr. Nimkar believes her to have some sort of mental illness and consults her a psychiatrist. However, Isha stands firm by citing her undying commitment to the purpose of her life.
That evening, Isha returns to the Saranjame mansion where she hallucinates the image of Rajnandini, who confides in Isha that she is her reincarnation. On this ground, Isha vows to punish Vikrant and Zende for the injustice they have served to the society. Isha goes on to confess about her true identity with Vikrant and Zende's conspiracies to Jaydeep and Aaisaheb, who both fall into an emotional trap and instantly accept her as Rajnandini. The three plan to avenge both Dadasaheb and Rajnandini's deaths along with Jalindar and Myra by making Vikrant and Zende realise their mistakes.
As part of her mission, Isha cleverly creates a rift between Vikrant and Zende due to the fact that Zende has grown suspicious of her true identity and tries to inform Vikrant about it multiple times. However, Vikrant refuses to believe Zende despite his numerous attempts to convince him. Eventually, Zende conspires to have Isha killed by his henchmen, but Vikrant intervenes and has himself accidentally shot in his arm by one of Zende's henchmen. In these circumstances, Isha considers calling off the mission due to the fact that she is also pregnant with Vikrant's child. Meanwhile, Zende has his henchmen abduct an unconscious Vikrant from the Saranjame mansion and bring him to his own house to settle the issue.
While there, Vikrant regains consciousness and Zende desperately tries to explain him the situation once again but in vain. In a last attempt to take Vikrant into confidence, Zende summons Jalindar to his house where he confronts Jalindar before Vikrant over being the accomplice of Isha in her conspiracy to seek revenge from them both. However, Jalindar silently commits suicide by consuming poison and confesses to Vikrant that Isha loves him a lot before he dies. At last, a furious Vikrant believes that Zende has betrayed him and their friendship and returns home after he shoots down Zende fatally with his gun.
Despite this, Vikrant eventually discovers the truth with the help of the confession about Isha being the reincarnation of Rajnandini that Mr. Nimkar had unconsciously made to him during a private conversation between them in the office. A regretful Vikrant laments his mistake of killing his true friend Zende and vows to teach a lesson to all the avengers who are plotting against him. In the meantime, Isha realises that Vikrant can blow her cover on benefit of doubt and decides to fight back with a strong heart, much to Aaisaheb and Jaydeep's gratitude.
The next morning, Isha appears before Vikrant in Rajnandini's clothes and recounts all her life events. She demands an explanation from Vikrant on why he served this injustice to the innocent Rajnandini when she had given him all that he wanted. Seeing no other way out, a brainwashed Vikrant finally admits before Isha, her parents, Aaisaheb, Jaydeep, Soniya and Myra that he did all this only to get rid of the sufferings from poverty which had caused his mother's sad demise. However, he carelessly taunts everyone that they cannot convict him for his crimes for not having any evidence for doing so.
Later that night, Vikrant contacts Isha and mysteriously asks her to come to the terrace. As Isha heads off, Aaisaheb is tremendously worried that Vikrant might do the same thing with Isha that he did with Rajnandini. On the terrace, Vikrant asks Isha what love means to her, to which, Isha replies that she understood the meaning of love only from him. At the same time, Vikrant also confesses that he still truly loves her despite the fact that she betrayed him and went against him, and that he killed his close friend Zende only out of his immortal love for her.
Despite this, the series has a shocking and tragic climax when out of a sudden, Vikrant unexpectedly jumps off the terrace and meets his death as he is unable to deal with his guilt, causing a lot of devastation to Isha. In the end, Isha bids farewell to Aaisaheb, Jaydeep and Soniya and leaves the Saranjame mansion with her parents for wanting to live her true-self, "Isha Nimkar", stating that the soul of Rajnandini has finally attained salvation due to the death of her killer, Vikrant. The series ends with Isha and her parents having started a catering business from their chawl few months later.
Synopsis
In the morning, a worried Isha Nimkar (Gayatri Datar) memorises the speech that she needs to deliver in college while doing the daily household chores. The speech lists many accomplishments of the famous businessman Vikrant Saranjame (Subodh Bhave), who is being honoured as a chief guest at the college of Isha. Therefore, her mother Pushpa (Gargi Phule) shares the endless woes of their household with Isha and taunts her father Arun Nimkar (Mohiniraj Gatne). At the saree shop, three women make fun of Mr. Nimkar by making him wear the sarees that he is showing to them. Later, Isha feels dejected on seeing Mr. Nimkar getting reprimanded by his employer for his irresponsibility.
As Vikrant gets late for being stuck in traffic, his secretary Myra Karkhanis (Abhidnya Bhave) decides to cancel the college function and rebukes Vikrant's friend Vilas Zende (Umesh Jagtap) for giving his views. However, all the employees are surprised when Vikrant reaches the office by a helicopter to maintain his punctuality. Further, Vikrant chooses his bicycle as a mode of transport for going to the college function. On his way to the college, Vikrant's bicycle breaks down and runs into Isha when he hires a sharing auto-rickshaw on the street. After the duo reach their destination, Isha gets angry at Vikrant for not having money to pay the auto-rickshaw fare. Later, Isha gets worried as her written speech goes missing.
After some time, Isha steps on the stage to deliver the speech but is stunned to see Vikrant entering as the chief guest. She feels embarrassed and bursts into tears as all her collegemates from the audience begin to make fun of her. However, Vikrant steps on the stage and appreciates Isha's self-confidence to perform an action on stage. Further, Vikrant advises Isha and all her collegemates from the audience to always have trust in themselves and each other and gains Isha's trust by handing over a blank cheque to her. Just as Vikrant is about to leave, Mr. Nimkar comes rushing to the college to hand over Isha her written speech. Vikrant drops off the exhausted Mr. Nimkar back to the saree shop from his car. At night, Pushpa and Mr. Nimkar gets surprised when Isha informs them about the blank cheque given to her by Vikrant. At midnight, Pushpa wakes up from her sleep to examine Vikrant's blank cheque carefully.
The next morning, Pushpa gets angry at Mr. Nimkar when he asks Isha to return Vikrant the cheque. She taunts Mr. Nimkar for rejecting the wealth having finally approached them in the form of the cheque. Later, Isha secretly steps out of the house with the envelope that contains the cheque. Meanwhile, Vikrant refuses to use the machine that causes the unemployment of all the workers. Further, Vikrant visits Isha's house to return her money but Pushpa misunderstands him for a mechanic and tries to make him repair the fridge. Isha's neighbour Rupali More (Sonal Pawar) apologises to Vikrant but he asks her not to reveal his true identity. Elsewhere, Isha visits Vikrant's office and hands over the envelope to Myra. However, furious to discover the envelope empty, Myra humiliates Isha before all the employees for being after a rich personality under some pretext.
In this circumstances, a crying Isha meets Mr. Nimkar at the saree shop and explains him the whole situation. Elsewhere, Myra feels insulted as Vikrant makes her write an apology letter for Isha's humiliation. Meanwhile, Pushpa reaches the bank to deposit the cheque after making a list of the future purchases. However, the bank employee gets irked as Pushpa takes time in filling in the details of the cheque deposition. Just as Pushpa is finally about to fill in the amount on the cheque, Isha and Mr. Nimkar intervene and refuse to let her do so, leaving her shocked.
As soon as they come out the bank, Pushpa gets angry at Isha and Mr. Nimkar for their intervention, while Vikrant, Zende and Myra arrive at their chawl and are about to leave on seeing the door locked. Just then, Isha arrives with Mr. Nimkar and Pushpa, who apologises to Vikrant on learning about his true identity. Further, Mr. Nimkar apologises to Vikrant as Pushpa misunderstood him for the mechanic and made him repair the fridge. Nevertheless, Vikrant apologises to them on behalf of Myra for the humiliation of Isha at the office. Later, Isha and Mr. Nimkar profusely return the blank cheque to Vikrant. At night, while Isha shares her feelings for Vikrant with Rupali, Vikrant answers all the questions in Isha's slambook. Rupali cautions Isha about Vikrant being a middle-aged man and asks her to confirm his marital status. However, Isha feels that love does not have any age.
The next morning, Pushpa tries to convince Mr. Nimkar for Isha's wedding with Rupali's cousin brother Bipin Tillu (Prathamesh Deshpande), but he walks off. Later, Rupali reminds Isha to confirm whether Vikrant is married or not. Unsure of Isha's reaction, Vikrant practices with Zende on how to convince Isha for her wedding. Just then, Myra arrives, and on seeing her upset, Vikrant apologises for not turning up for their planned dinner. Later, Zende informs Myra about Isha's wedding, and she rejoices, assuming that Isha will leave her job after her wedding. Myra reprimands Isha for asking Vikrant's personal details. After Pushpa's reminder, Vikrant decides to talk to Isha and calls her to his office.
Isha shares her opinion regarding marriage with Vikrant, and her expectations from her groom. Zende interrupts the conversation and informs Vikrant that they need to urgently leave for Karjat. After Vikrant leaves, Isha finds out from her slambook that Vikrant is unmarried. However, FM (Swanand Desai), a peon, informs Isha that Vikrant has left due to "Mrs. Saranjame's" ill-health, which upsets Isha. At Vikrant's house, his widowed mother Snehalata (Vidya Karanjikar), also known as Aaisaheb, holds a "pooja" for Vikrant's wedding, much to his sister-in-law Soniya's (Purniema Dey) irritation.
Soniya and Aaisaheb have a war of words, when Soniya maligns Vikrant in front of her. Vikrant learns that the news of Aaisaheb's ill-health was just a ploy. On reaching home, Vikrant receives Aaisaheb's blessings before having the cake, which upsets Soniya. Influenced by a fake video, Vikrant's younger brother Jaydeep (Ashutosh Gokhale) decides to undertake the project of turning copper into gold. Vikrant gifts Aaisaheb the saree that was gifted to him by Mr. Nimkar, leaving her surprised. Aaisaheb is hopeful of Vikrant's marriage.
A bank personnel calls Pushpa about a loan offer. Isha shares her confusion regarding Vikrant's marital status with Rupali, but Rupali asks her to be hopeful. Pushpa contacts Vikrant to remind him to convince Isha for the wedding. However, Aaisaheb receives the phone call and curiously questions Zende about Isha. Puzzled, Zende tells Vikrant to talk to Isha at the earliest. At midnight, Isha has a nightmare which wakes her up. Later, Vikrant contacts her and asks her to meet him the next day.
After a few days, Zende reminds Vikrant about Jaydeep's birthday and takes him to the office, where everyone is waiting to cut the cake. Jaydeep introduces everyone to the "money-printing machine" that he has bought. However, he gets irked when the machine stops working. Myra pressurises Zende to get Vikrant to the office the next day. In the morning, Soniya argues with Aaisaheb for being partial towards Vikrant. Falling prey to another fraud, Jaydeep buys the so-called "Biochemical Petrol Sesame" that turns mineral water into petrol for INR five crore. A disgusted Soniya locks Jaydeep in their room. A restless Aaisaheb informs Vikrant about it and he consoles Jaydeep.
One Month Later
Zende is shocked to learn that Isha has left the job. Vikrant decides to not hide his feelings for Isha from anyone. Just then, Zende informs Vikrant that his archenemy Jalindar Mane (Sandesh Jadhav), who tried to kill Vikrant 15 years ago, has come out from prison. Zende decides to tighten Vikrant's security by seeking police protection. Upset about not being able to meet Vikrant, Isha contacts Vikrant and asks him to meet her at a café. Frustrated for not being able to step out of his house in Mumbai, Vikrant thinks of a plan and orders a pizza. Isha and Rupali make an excuse and go to the café.
When the pizza delivery boy arrives, Vikrant takes his uniform and goes to meet Isha. Isha is surprised to see Vikrant in a delivery boy's uniform. Zende gets irked on learning about it. Isha tells Vikrant that she loves him for his simplicity and not his position. Later, Vikrant is disturbed to spot a person hiding his face with a newspaper. A worried Mr. Nimkar looks around for Isha and Rupali. He spots Rupali hiding after seeing him. After receiving a phone-call from Rupali, Isha decides to leave. Vikrant notices the person following him and cleverly locks him inside the washroom. Vikrant and Isha spend romantic moments before bidding goodbye to each other.
While Vikrant tells Zende about Jalindar's men following him, Isha and Rupali cook up a story at home. Jalindar learns about Vikrant being in love with Isha. Isha tells Rupali about the date. Vikrant realises that Isha's life could be in danger and orders Zende to provide security for her. Jalindar contacts Isha and tells her that Vikrant is a fraud and that she should not trust him. Jalindar does not reveal his identity to Isha. The Nimkars feel uncomfortable due to the two security guards arranged outside their house by Zende. At night, Isha receives an "I miss you" text from Vikrant on her digital watch. The security guards get suspicious but Isha handles the situation.
The next morning, Myra decides to accompany Vikrant for cycling. While cycling, Vikrant talks to Isha over the phone but Myra assumes that he is talking to her. Isha confides in Rupali about the unknown caller badmouthing Vikrant. Rupali advises Isha to inform Vikrant about it, but Isha does not agree. Jalindar contacts Isha again and tries to instigate her against Vikrant by quoting his words. While going for the examination, Isha receives an anonymous note from the auto-rickshaw driver, who is, in fact, Jalindar himself. Later, Vikrant meets Isha at the examination venue and brings "Prasad" for her from her favourite temple.
After the examination, Isha shows the note given to her by the auto-rickshaw driver (Jalindar) to Rupali, who raises doubts over Vikrant. Isha rebukes her, saying that she completely trusts Vikrant. Rupali suggests Isha to talk to Vikrant and contacts him, but later rebukes Isha when she does not inform Vikrant about the anonymous call. Vikrant tells Zende that he is sure that Jalindar would try to reach out to Isha and threaten her. He asks Zende to find Jalindar at any cost. At night, Vikrant visits Isha and slyly notes down the numbers from her mobile's call log.
The next day, Jalindar contacts Isha to give her another proof to prove Vikrant a fraud but she refuses to trust him. Isha then gets shocked when Jalindar sends her the photograph of a stranger that she had come across once. At night, Isha has a nightmare wherein the stranger tries to attack her. Isha wakes up to fever and decides to meet Vikrant to tell him about everything. Later, Isha meets the stranger on the street again. Vikrant throws a party to celebrate the worldwide success of the "Chhota Recharge Pack" and misses Isha.
After some time, Vikrant comes out of his office when he learns of Isha's visit. Vikrant dances with Isha which amuses everyone. Later, Vikrant takes Isha to his office and asks her the reason behind her visit. Later, an irked Mr. Nimkar contacts Isha and reprimands her for going to the office when she is sick. Isha then reveals everything to Vikrant shows him the photograph of the stranger. In the car, Vikrant gives his jacket to Isha and comforts her when she feels cold.
Moreover, Vikrant takes Isha to the stranger and asks her to confront him. The stranger reveals that he was given money for threatening Isha. However, on learning that he was insulting Vikrant, he slaps himself and apologises to her, narrating how Vikrant had helped him. Isha confesses her love for Vikrant. Mr. Nimkar voices his suspicions regarding Isha's visit to the office. Vikrant confides in the Nimkars about how Jalindar became his enemy. Zende tells Vikrant that Isha being his weak point is helping Jalindar.
At night, Mr. Nimkar conveys to Pushpa that he suspects that Isha was in a relationship with someone at her office. The next day, Zende approaches Isha and makes her realise that Jalindar could take ill-advantage of the fact that she is Vikrant's weakness, and asks for her promise to break all relations with Vikrant for his safety, to which, Isha agrees. Jalindar contacts Isha and she informs him that she has broken all relations with Vikrant, but is aghast to learn that Jalindar intended to destroy Vikrant. Later, Zende arrives at an under-construction building looking for Jalindar but finds a note which reads that it is not so easy to capture him.
Meanwhile, Pushpa and Mr. Nimkar discuss love marriage to cheer Isha up, but Isha tells them that she does not love anyone. Vikrant decides to propose marriage to Isha and shares it with Zende. Pushpa decides to take up a part-time job, while Isha prepares for a job interview. Elsewhere, Vikrant too rehearses his lines to propose Isha for marriage and goes to her house, surprising her. Isha is glad to see Vikrant pay her a surprise visit and asks him the reason behind it. Vikrant repeatedly fumbles while trying to propose marriage to her. Isha asks him to help her prepare for her job interview and they end up having a fun banter. Just then, Pushpa and Mr. Nimkar arrive and Vikrant asks Isha to rejoin his office, leaving her delighted.
Few Days Later
As the Nimkars are about to go to watch a play, Vikrant's driver arrives and gives an invitation letter to Isha. After leaving, Isha learns that Vikrant has called her to his house. On entering Vikrant's house, Isha is amazed by the grandeur. Vikrant then reveals the truth of his deceased wife named Rajnandini to Isha, making her emotional. With Myra's accquaintance, Bipin's father Mr. Tillu (Ravindra Kulkarni) apprises Mr. Nimkar and Pushpa of Isha and Vikrant's affair and asks them to visit Vikrant's house to see what their daughter is up to. Later, Vikrant takes Isha for a helicopter ride and proposes marriage to her mid-air.
Isha is speechless on seeing Vikrant's unique way of proposing marriage to her and accepts his proposal. Mr. Nimkar, who has been insinuated by Mr. Tillu, is stunned to see Isha in Vikrant's arms. Vikrant then takes Isha back to his house, where they share some wonderful moments amidst a hearty conversation. Isha tells Vikrant that she will convince her parents for their marriage. A shattered Mr. Nimkar returns home and apprises Pushpa of everything, leaving her devastated.
A visibly flummoxed Mr. Nimkar tells Pushpa that she trusts Isha and his upbringing. Isha shares her dilemma of their parents' disapproval with Vikrant, owing to their age difference. A disturbed Mr. Nimkar blabbers about the consequences of Isha and Vikrant's relationship. Isha arrives home with a pastry as a mark of celebrating her happiness, but Mr. Nimkar's behaviour leaves her baffled. Zende is also stunned to learn about Vikrant proposing marriage to Isha and congratulates him. At night, Pushpa tells Isha that it is her responsibility to get Isha and Vikrant married. Vikrant invites Isha to celebrate the good news and Christmas with him.
The next morning, Mr. Nimkar allows Isha to go out with Vikrant. Mr. Nimkar then leaves with Pushpa to follow Isha and Vikrant. Mr. Nimkar's suspicions are proved wrong when he sees Vikrant take Isha to an old-age-home, where they happily feed cake to the old people. Later, Pushpa and Mr. Nimkar secretly watch Isha and Vikrant feeding cake to each other. Isha feels lucky to have found Vikrant owing to his loving and caring nature. Pushpa praises Vikrant for being so down-to-earth but Mr. Nimkar disregards it. Thus, Pushpa gets angry at Mr. Nimkar and tells him that he has not ever done anything for Isha as a father, which hurts Mr. Nimkar. Vikrant drops Isha off home and gives her a cake to celebrate Christmas with her family. Pushpa tells Isha that Mr. Nimkar has left the house in anger. At night, Mr. Nimkar returns home drunk and criticises himself, hurting Pushpa and Isha.
The next day, Isha sends a letter to Vikrant, who is shocked to read that Isha wants to put an end to their relationship as it is hurting her close ones. Isha confides in Rupali about her decision, but Rupali disapproves of it. Just then, a furious Vikrant drives Isha away and rebukes her for taking the decisions regarding their relationship alone. Meanwhile, a Jogtin (Urmila Katkar), a woman asking for alms, visits Pushpa and assures her that everything will be fine. On Vikrant's insistence, Isha tries to talk to Mr. Nimkar but he avoids her.
Further, Pushpa packs Isha's bag and tells Isha that she is taking her to her maternal aunt Pinky Mavshi's (Surabhi Damle) house in Pune. However, Pushpa takes Isha to meet Vikrant and asks Vikrant to take Isha away and marry her. Vikrant refuses saying that he will wait until Mr. Nimkar consents to it. Mr. Nimkar contacts Pinky Mavshi and realises that Pushpa has lied. After Isha and Pushpa return home, Mr. Nimkar confronts them regarding their whereabouts and Pushpa divulges everything. Later, Mr. Nimkar reveals to Pushpa about Vikrant's first marriage.
On this ground, Mr. Nimkar thinks that Vikrant has cheated on them by not telling them about his ex-wife, but Isha says that Vikrant never wanted to hide it, and hence, he mentioned the same in the file. Mr. Nimkar asks Isha whether Vikrant's family would accept her the way Vikrant does. Just then, Aaisaheb arrives with Vikrant and tells Mr. Nimkar that Vikrant never thought of a second marriage until he met Isha and that he is highly eligible. After everyone's reassurance, Mr. Nimkar finally agrees for the marriage, leaving Isha and Vikrant delighted. When Vikrant and Aaisaheb return home, Aaisaheb informs all the Saranjame family members about Vikrant's marriage. Soniya is disappointed with Isha's low status, but Aaisaheb and Vikrant convince her to accompany them to the Nimkars' house to talk about the particulars of the marriage.
As part of the pre-wedding rituals, the "Mehendi" ceremony of Vikrant and Isha starts with a trivia of their love story which builds excitement amongst all. Myra makes each person enact a situation from the couple's love story. Vikrant volunteers for his turn and takes the opportunity to draw "Mehendi", henna tattoo, on Isha's hands after a romantic performance. At the end of the day, the men enjoy a bonfire and drinks while Zende helps them. Amidst all this, Vikrant and Isha share a sweet moment under the sky. Vikrant asks Isha to address him by his name. She tells Vikrant that she wishes to have their home at the wedding venue. Further, Vikrant declares that he has won the "Mehendi" bet and romances Isha. Later that night, Isha wakes up in a shock after having a nightmare and encounters Aaisaheb outside her room.
On the day of Vikrant and Isha's "Haldi" ceremony, Pushpa panics after not finding any pestle to prepare the turmeric, but Myra calms her down by showing the imported samples of turmeric. Rupali makes Vikrant jealous by raving about Isha's beauty. During the "Haldi" ceremony, Jaydeep announces that he wants to make a museum of the Saranjame family members, which will have their wax statues. At the engagement ceremony, Myra engages Isha and Vikrant in an interesting ring-finding game. At night, the Nimkars and Saranjames have a dance competition during the "sangeet". The next day, Rupali and Bipin manage to hide Vikrant's shoes from the wedding ceremony, much to Soniya's disappointment. Vikrant faints during the wedding proceedings as he forgets to take his medicine. Later, Vikrant amends a few customs of the wedding.
