Shahnawaz Rana (born 14 March 1976) is an Indian politician and a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly who represents the Bijnor (Assembly constituency) constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

Rana is a member of the Rashtriya Lok Dal. He become MLA in 2007 from Bijnor assembly seat defeating Kunwar Bhartendra Singh of BJP in very close contest.He is the Chief editor of newspaper Shahtimes [1][2]

Controversies

In 2017, an audio record of a phone call between Junaid Raza and Shahnawaz Rana went viral. Rana is alleged to have told Raza that he committed a murder when aged twelve. Rana however refuted the voice to be his.[3]
