Aurangpur is a village in Shahade in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from sub district headquarter and 47 kilometres (29 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 264 houses and a population of 1322 of which 662 are males while 660 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 18 people are from Schedule Caste and 967 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
