Shahane is a village in Shahade in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 35 kilometres (22 mi) from sub district headquarter and 65 kilometres (40 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 633 houses and a population of 3422 of which 1700 are males while 1722 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 18 people are from Schedule Caste and 3231 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
