Chanwai is a village in Akkalkuwa in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 34 kilometres (21 mi) from sub district headquarter and 88 kilometres (55 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India).[1] As of 2009, The village has a total number of 231 houses and the population of 1145 of which 575 are males while 570 are females.[1]
