Laxmangarh is a town in Sikar district of Rajasthan state in India. It is the sub-divisional headquarters of the Laxmangarh sub-division in Sikar district. It is also the Tehsil headquarters of the Laxmangarh Tehsil. It is situated on National Highway-52 at a distance of 30 km from Sikar in north.
Geography
Laxmangarh is located at 27°49′21″N 75°01′31″E / 27.8225°N 75.025278°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 222 metres (728 ft). The Laxmangarh Fort is the best monument of the town.
Demographics
As of 2011 India census Laxmangarh had a population of 41253. Males constitute 51.26% (41098) of the population and females 48.74% (40155). Laxmangarh has an average literacy rate of 72.70%, which is lower than the national average of 74.04%; male literacy is 83.74% and female literacy is 61.24%. In Laxmangarh, 13.85% (7394) of the population is younger than 6 years old.
