Baladitya is a Indian actor, lyricist, dialogue writer, dubbing artist, and TV host who works in Telugu cinema and television.[2] He is a recipient of two Nandi Awards.
Early life and career[edit]
Baladitya is born in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh to Y. S. Shankar and Kalyani.[1]
He made his debut as a child actor in Rajendra Prasad's Telugu comedy film Edurinti Mogudu Pakkinti Pellam.[3] He acted in 40 films as a child actor and 10 films as a leading actor.[4] He made his debut in a lead role in the movie Chantigadu (2003) directed by B. A. Jaya. He got three Nandi Awards, two as a child actor for Anna and Little Soldiers and one as an anchor for the kids' quiz show Champion. He played the male lead role in the national award-winning film 1940 Lo Oka Gramam.[4]
As a child, he acted in 6 languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, English, Kannada and Malayalam.
He worked with many directors, including Relangi Narasimha Rao, Muthyala Subbaiah, Gunnam Ganga Raju, E. V. V. Satyanarayana, Ravi Raja Pinisetty, V. Madhusudhan Rao, Dasari Narayana Rao, K. Balachander, Kodi Ramakrishna, Eranki Sharma, A. V. S., B. Gopal, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, and Uppalapati Narayana Rao.
After the movie 1940 Lo Oka Gramam in 2009, he took a break from acting and studied in the company's secretary course. He practised and worked as a company secretary and became a faculty of financial management for chartered accountant and computer science students. Currently[when?] he is teaching the subject at Indigo Learn, an online coaching centre for the Chartered Accountancy Course.
Baladitya hosted a quiz show called Champion in 2015 and 2016 which aired on ETV.[5] He worked as the lead in a daily soap called Shambhavi, which was telecasted on Star Maa. He is played the lead character for a Tamil serial, Rasaathi, which is popular on Sun TV.
