Early Life and Biography
Sandesh Lamsal ( सन्देश लम्साल ) was born on 17 August 1994, in a Brahmin family in Dang district of Nepal. He is the first child of Ganesh Lamsal and Sushila Lamsal.[6] Sandesh went to Russia in 2015 to study after receiving a scholarship on MBBS from the Russian government. He did not only studied and played sports there but worked as a social worker.[7] In 2016 The office of the Honorary Consul of Nepal was opened in St. Petersburg, Russia under Alexander Trentev's leadership.[8][9] Sandesh Lamsal was appointed as the Representative of Nepal in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.[10] He created a group of students there and actively organised many programs for the promotion of Nepali Culture, and tourism in Russia.[11] Sandesh has created several videos in the fields of entertainment, health, sports and social awareness.[12] He has worked with many popular Indian social media influencers and his videos have been shared by many of even popular Bollywood stars.[13][14] Nepalese internet celebrity, Sandesh Lamsal, has been verified in all social media platforms including TikTok, Likee, Moj, Josh, Google’s Tangi and Chingari app in January 2021.[15] He has become the First Nepalese celebrity to achieve this milestone.[16] He is Two Dan Black belt in World Taekwondo and also has participated in many competitions in Nepal and Russia.[17][18] [19] Sandesh has significantly contributed to the promotion of Nepal's tourism under the office of Nepal's honorary consul in Russia. [20] Sandesh is the one and only Nepalese who has contributed on United Nations as an Online Volunteer and also on FIFA Confederation Cup 2017 and FIFA World Cup 2018 as a Medical Volunteer.[21][22] He was also the organizer and lecturer of the "Nepal Fest" event held in St. Petersburg, Russia to help the victims of the 2015 earthquake.[23] The Former Speaker of the Parliament of Nepal – Onsari Gharti Magar, Former Finance Minister of Nepal – Ram Saran Mahat, The Ambassador of Nepal to Russia – Rishi Ram Ghimire and as a whole, Nepal and the Russian Government has praised the hard work and contributions done by Sandesh Lamsal towards Nepal, Nepali culture, tradition and tourism.[24]
