Savdhaan India – India Fights Back (English: Attention India! – India Fights Back) is an Indian Hindi-language crime show aired by Star Bharat. The series is hosted by Ashutosh Rana, Tisca Chopra, Sushant Singh, Gaurav Chopra, Mohnish Behl, Pooja Gaur, Saurabh Raj Jain, Shivani Tomar, Pratyusha Banerjee, Hiten Tejwani, Divya Dutta, Sidharth Shukla and Mohit Malik. It provides dramatised versions of real-life crimes in India and the story of struggle of the victims to get justice for their sufferings.[2][3]

Initially the series aired as Crime Alert on Life OK.[4] A rebooted version of the series called Savdhaan India – India Fights Back began broadcast on Life OK on 23 July 2012.[citation needed] Versions of the program (focusing on a particular Indian state/city) have also aired as Savdhaan India – Maharashtra Fights Back, hosted by Shreyas Talpade, Savdhaan India – Mumbai Fights Back, hosted by Atul Kulkarni,[5] Savdhaan India – Punjab Fights Back and Savdhaan India – U.P Fights Back. The show continued to air on Replacement Channel of Life OK which is STAR Bharat from 28 August.[6] On 22 January 2021 Star 'Bharat UK/Europe' rebranded to 'Utsav Bharat', and in UK/Europe, the serial aired on Utsav Bharat.[7]

The Show Went Off Air On 22 April 2021 Due To Low TRP Ratings. However, Old Episodes Of Savdhaan India Are Airing Until Star Bharat/ Utsav Bharat Doesn’t Revamp which is expected to take place in May/June 2021.

Controversy

The show has landed in controversy on numerous occasions where it has been seen as a bad influence by its sensational portrayal of crime.[12] In February 2018 in Delhi, a man residing in New Friends Colony was accused of rape by his 11-year-old daughter.[13] The girl later admitted in court that she had complained against her father after watching Savdhaan India and that she had "exaggerated things" before her mother and the police.[13] She said that the show gave her the impression that her father's innocent kisses were "wrong".[13] Her father was acquitted by the court.[13]
