Pradeep Nair, is an Indian filmmaker, who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry.[2] He has also directed numerous award winning documentaries,[3] thus making him a notable filmmaker of Kerala.[4]
His debut directorial, Oridam (2005) won him Special Jury Award for director at 52nd National Film Awards[5] and won 5 Kerala State Film Awards in 2005.[6]
Nair is also an author, with two of his books on cinema, the first one, " Koottu Chernnulla Kali :Chalachithra Vicharangal " (2022)[7] and the second " Drushya Mohanam :Samvidhayakan Mohante Chalachithra Kala " (2024), has been published.[8]
