Jammalamadugu revenue division is an administrative division in the YSR district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Jammalamadugu is the administrative headquarters of the division.In this division, Proddatur is the old municipality which was subsequently, in 1915, was upgraded as a special grade municipality. Pulivendula became municipality in 2008.

History

YSR district was one of the 13 new districts formed in 2022 , with its headquarters at Kadapa. The reorganisation of the districts increased the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh to 26. It has 3 revenue divisions - Jammalamadugu revenue division, Kadapa revenue division and Badvel revenue division.[1]

Administrative divisions

YSR district is divided into three revenue divisions: Jammalamadugu revenue division, Kadapa revenue division and Badvel revenue division. [6]

There are 12 mandals in Jammalamadugu revenue division : [6] Jammalamadugu mandal, Kondapuram mandal , Lingala mandal, Peddamamudiah mandal, Muddanur madal, Mylavaram mandal, Proddutur mandal, Pulivendula mandal, Rajupalem mandal, Simhadripuram mandal, Thondur mandal and Vemula mandal.
