Muppalla is a village in Palnadu district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Muppalla mandal of Guntur revenue division.[4]

History

As per Gazettee No. 939 of 26 January 2022, the old Guntur District, formed in 1904, was split into three districts – Guntur, Palnadu and Bapatla. [5]

Geography

Varagani is situated at 16°14′14″N 79°50′47″E / 16.23722°N 79.84639°E / 16.23722; 79.84639. It is spread over an area of 1,741 ha (4,300 acres).[2]

Governance

Muppalla gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[1] It is divided into wards and each ward is represented by a ward member.[6]

Education

As per the school information report for the academic year 2018–19, the village has 9 schools. These are 4 [[District council (India]|Zilla Parishad]]/MPP, one KGBV, one other type and 3 private schools.[7]
