Anji's parents wants to develop the village and they are devotees of Lord Hanuman. They start construction of a dam to irrigate the surrounding area, but they are murdered by the village's cruel head. Anji becomes an orphan and the village temple priest brought him up. Anji becomes a great devotee of Lord Hanuman. Once again, the village head with support of a black magician wants kill Anji to gain supernatural power. Lord Hanuman comes in disguise as a human with the same name, Anji[Arjun Sarja]and secures Anji from all evil. He makes Anji perform the final rites of his dead parents , and also kills a black magician meant to kill Anji. When Anji[Nithiin] comes to know of this , he tells Lord Hanuman to go away. Later he realises through the temple priest that the one with him was Lord Hanuman himself all along. Anji[Nithiin] realises his folly and hits his head with a brick in front of Lord Hanuman's statue out of remorse , and falls unconscious. He witnesses Lord Hanuman instructing Anji to build the dam and name it Seethamma Thalli. Anji starts doing so, but the village head once again tries to kill him. This time Lord Hanuman possesses Anji and beats them all up. Finally, Anji was able to complete constructing the dam.

Sri Anjaneyam is a 2004 Indian Telugu-language fantasy action film written, directed, and produced by Krishna Vamsi. It stars Nithiin, Arjun Sarja and Charmme Kaur. Pilla Prasad, Chandra Mohan, and L. B. Sriram play supporting roles.
