Sanamahi (Meitei: ꯁꯅꯥꯃꯍꯤ) (literally, "Liquid gold"[2]) is a primordial god in Meitei mythology and religion.[3][4] He is the deity of the household,[5] whose identity is often associated with the "Sun God" (Kolouhanpa).[6] He is the eldest son of Atingkok, the supreme creator god of the universe.[7][8] He is often bestowed with the title Lainingthou, for being the ruler of the human household.
