[[J. Jayalalithaa|Jayalalitha]] danced as a child artist for a song in the film. She had accompanied her mother Sandhya, who played a supporting role in the film, to the studios and the producer Neerlahalli Thalikerappa and director Aroor Pattabhi were looking for a child artiste to play the deity [[Parvati]] in a school drama scene in the film, as the original girl who was supposed to dance could not come on the day of schedule. Pattabhi asked Sandhya if he could make Jayalalitha dance in the small sequence and Sandhya agreed, thereby Jayalalitha made her debut as a child artiste in Kannada films with this film.
