Zee Hindustan, a part of Essel Group, is a 24x7 national Hindi news channel. In December 2018, the channel relaunched itself as the first news channel in the country without any anchor or news reader. The idea behind the strategy of going anchor-less is aimed at giving news without any views.[1]
The channel was launched in May 2017, with motto – ‘States Make The Nation and ‘Nayi Bharat ka Naya News Channel’ – promising to highlight the voice of common man from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.[2]
Zee Hindustan decided to re-launch itself in 2018 in an anchor-less avatar to serve the basic purpose of being a news channel, which is to disseminate news in its purest form. The re-launched Zee Hindustan believes in the philosophy of ‘Ab anchor nahi, khabrein khud bolengi, kyunki aap samajhdar hain (not anchors, now news will speak for itself, for you are Smart)’.[3][4] The channel is currently available in Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada and Malayalam.[5] Zee Hindustan to relaunch as Anchor Less News Channel
