V. N. Janaki Ministry
After the demise of M.G. Ramachandran the Governor appointed V.R. Nedunchezhiyan as Chief Minister till the election of new Leader by the Party. Consequent on the election of V. N. Janaki Ramachandran as the Leader of the AIADMK Legislative Party, the interim Council under Nedunchezhiyan resigned and a new Ministry with came in to existence on 7 January 1988.[1][2][3][4] The cabinet was soon dismissed over controversy regarding vote of confidence in the assembly.
