Nolambas (also known as Nolamba vokkaliga, Nonaba vokkaliga, Nolamba veerashaivam) are a community of people from Karnataka, India. They are concentrated in the Tumkur, Hassan, chikmagaluru, Bangalore, and Chitradurga districts. .  Andhrapradesh 

While the Nonaba are considered a sub-division of veerashaiva and vokkaliga they are listed separately by the government. Some Nolamba okkaliga were Veerashaivas who embraced Lingayatism to become a separate division.The Nolambas are classified under the General/Unreserved Category by the Central Government of India.

The Nolambas were historically a landholding community of cultivators and merchants. They formed part of the administrative and kingdom in ancient times. Their chiefs were called “Gowda” patil and “patel" in Karnataka

They were residents of the ancient Kingdom of Nonambavadi which was ruled by the Pallavas up till 10th century A.D. The Pallavas also called themselves as Nonambadhi Raja, Nonamba Pallava, Pallavadhi Raja, etc. This section of the Vokkaligas are Lingayats by faith. In most respects, they follow the same customs as the Gangadhikara Vokkaligas.

Today the people of Nolamba has settled throughout Karnataka with a population of 15+lakhs and follows veerashaiva lingayat tradition.

Nolamba ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರು ತುಮಕೂರಿಂದ ಹಾಸನದವರಿಗೆ ದಟ್ಟವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಈ ಪ್ರಭೇದಗಳು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತಶಕ 1800 ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಖಡ 80ರಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ದೀಕ್ಷೆ ಪಡೆದು ನೊಣಬ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತರಾದರು ನೊಣಬ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮುಖಂಡರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಆಡಳಿತಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಗುಬ್ಬಿ ವಸಳ್ಳಿ ಮಹಾನಾಡು ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನಾಶವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ನೊಣಬ ವಕ್ಕಲಿಗರನ್ನು ಲಿಂಗಾಯಿತರಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಸಿದ್ದರಾಮೇಶ್ವರರನ್ನೆ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು "ನೊಳಂಬರು " " ನೊಳಂಬ ವೀರಶೈವರು "ಎಂದು ಕರೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ದೀಕ್ಷೆ ಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಹಾಸನ ಚನ್ನರಾಯಪಟ್ಟಣ ಭಾಗದ ನೊಣಬ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗ ಇತರೆ

ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗ ಪ್ರಭೇದಗಳೊಂದಿಗ ವೈವಾಹಿಕ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಬೆಳೆಸಿ  ಕೊಟ್ಟು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೆರೆತು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನೊಣಬ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ. ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರು, ಗೌಡರಷ್ಟೇ ಎಂದೇ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ .  ಆದರೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಕುಲದ  ಹೆಸರನ್ನು  ಮರೇ ಮಾಚದೆ  ನೊಣಬ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರು ಎಂದು ರಾಜ ರೋಷವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಗುಬ್ಬಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ 26 ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ

ತಮ್ಮ ಪುರಾತನ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪಳೆಯುಲಿಕೆಗಳತೆ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರು ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ತುಮಕೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲೂಯೂ

ಇಂಥವರು ವಿರಾಳವಾಗಿ ನೊಣಬ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಂಗಾಯತರು ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತದೆ . ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹಾಸನ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಇವರು ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
