Dr. Punit Singla is one of the most accomplished Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplant Surgeon in Noida & NCR currently working with reputed hospitals in India. In his surgical carrier of more than 18 years, he has performed 1500+ liver transplantation and surgeries including gastro-intestinal tract, liver, biliary tract and pancreas. He has worked at different roles from resident fellow to position of leader of the transplant team, while fulfilling all the responsibilities. He has established liver transplant team from scratch, including planning of infrastructure, procurement of world class instruments, handpicking of trained and experienced team members. Dr Punit Singla was an active member of the team, which pioneered living donor liver transplant in India. With his active role in the team, with innovative ideas, acceptance of novel ideas across the world, the team has done cases requiring different skill set like IVC replacement in Living donor liver transplant, ABO incompatible transplant, in situ split of cadaveric donor, HBsAg positive donor, use of plasmapheresis and CRRT in acute liver failure.

His expertise includes Liver transplant, liver, biliary tract and pancreatic surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries required for benign and malignant disease of gastro-intestinal tract and hepato-pancreatic-biliary tract. Surgeries for bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma) need careful planning and multidisciplinary management.

He believes that every patient has different needs as per the stage of their disease. In addition to standard protocol-based management, certain patients need higher attention and individualized care. So, he and his team plan the management of every patient as per individual requirement of the patient.

He has trained young surgeons in field of liver surgery and liver transplantation. He has not only helped them to learn surgical techniques, but also guided and provided support for successfully running liver transplant programs.

Dr Punit Singla is active member of academic programs and various medical organizations like Association of Surgeons of India, Association of minimal access surgeons of India, founder member of liver transplant society of India. He has presented medical papers in various national and international conferences and has written book chapters.

He serves the patients with ethical practice and scientific methods while doing innovations in medical field. His areas of interest include Liver transplant (Living and cadaveric), minimal invasive liver donor surgery, acute liver failure, pediatric liver transplant, liver cancer and making donor surgery further safer while maintaining his zeal for innovations in field of liver transplantation.
