Thayamma is an upcoming Tamil language soap opera directed by Vikram Adhityan and produced by Raadhika Sarathkumar under Radaan Mediaworks. The show stars Raadhika Sarathkumar and Venu Arvind in lead roles. It is scheduled to premiere in 2023.[1]

Development[edit]
This is Radaan Mediaworks’ and Raadhika Sarathkumar’s debut series on DD Podhigai.[2] After seeing the success of Ponni C/O Rani (Kalaignar TV) and Kizhakku Vasal (Star Vijay), Raadhika Sarathkumar thought of pleasing the audience with a new soap titled Thayamma.[3]
Casting[edit]
The production began smoothly with Raadhika and Venu Arvind being cast in lead roles. Venu Arvind made his comeback after Chandrakumari. The actress Raadhika is all set to make her new Tamil TV series where she plays an important role, as a mother struggling with her two daughters.[4] Harshini was selected to portray the lead role. Harshini made his comeback after eighteen years.[5] Arjun, Poovilangu Mohan, Rani, Dhachayani and Bhargavi were cast in supporting roles.
