Usage
This template is used to welcome new editors to Bharatpedia on their talk pages.
Basic usage
To welcome a user with the default message, add the following code at the top of the user's talk page:
{{subst:Welcome1}}
Adding a custom message
You can add an optional custom message after the main greeting:
{{subst:Welcome1|Your custom note or advice here.}}
Important notes
- Always substitute: This template must be substituted using
subst:(i.e.,{{subst:Welcome1}}). Do not transclude it directly, otherwise the automatic signature, revision username, and IP/user detection logic will not work properly.
Features
- Automatically detects whether the recipient is a registered user or an IP user.
- Automatically appends your user signature in the footer upon substitution.
- Provides quick navigation links to important Bharatpedia policies, help pages, and other language subdomains in the footer.
