This is a documentation subtemplate, displaying default informations about WikiProject userboxes based on Template:User BP.

Usage

To create a new WikiProject userbox, copy-paste and edit the following sample from Template:User WikiProject Switzerland:

In this example, the documentation subtemplate is:

{{User WP/based​|Template:Bg​|Template:Bg​|Template:Bg​|Section = Template:Bg}}

In the example of Template:User BPPhilosophy, the documentation subtemplate will be:

{{User BP/based​|Template:Bg​|Template:Bg​|Add = Template:Bg}}

Parameters

1. Set the 1st unnamed parameter as the project name (e.g. Template:Bg), required to categorise the userbox template and make other parameters work.
2. Set the 2nd unnamed parameter to Template:Bg, Template:Bg or Template:Bg to include related informations and examples; if the project name is shorter than 15 characters, Template:Bg is the default.
3. Set the 2nd or 3rd unnamed parameter to Template:Bg to include the template in Category:Regional WikiProject user templates.
4. Section = for the optional member list section (default is 'Participants').
5. Add = for additional sections.

• {{User BP/sub}} is a shortcut to this subtemplate, {{User BP/based}}, and can be used in its place.
• This subtemplate automatically includes Template:Documentation.
