This template creates a soft redirect to Wiktionary.

Do not place it on every possible word. Soft redirects to Wiktionary are to dictionary definitions, and generally Bharatpedia is not a dictionary.

Only use it when:

• There is no scope for a Bharatpedia article at this title, and
• There is no other Bharatpedia page to which this would be an appropriate redirect, and
• There is a relevant entry in Bharationary, and
• Readers search for it on Bharatpedia.

This template is a self-reference and so is part of the Bharatpedia project rather than the encyclopaedic content.

Use

You can use {{subst:long comment}} to prevent a page thus redirected from being listed on Special:Shortpages.

Provides a soft redirect to the Bharationary page, using the current page's name, but the first letter is turned to lower case. Check if the case is appropriate.

{{wtr|sophisticated}} {{subst:long comment}}

Pass a parameter to specify the link target.

{{wtr|Category:English idioms|many=yes}}

Pass |many=yes to link to lists or categories on Bharationary.

{{wtr|mokkori|italic=yes}}

Pass |italic=yes to comply with MOS:FOREIGNITALIC for foreign-language words.

Side effects

1. This template will categorise tagged articles into Category:Redirects to Bharationary.

{{wikt-lang}}		Applies a language tag to a word, and links to that language's section of the Wiktionary entry on the word, much like the {{m}} and {{l}} templates on Bharationary. For instance, {{wikt-lang|en|be|was}} yields was, and is equivalent to {{lang|en|[[wikt:be#English|was]]}}.

Moving a non-encyclopedic entry to Bharationary:

• {{Transwikied to Bharationary}}, {{Transwiki to Bharationary Finished}}: Pasted at the top of the talk page by admins.

Markup:

• [[wikt:ᐁᕕᖃ]] → wikt:ᐁᕕᖃ
• [[wikt:粘菌|'myxomycete' in Japanese]] → 'myxomycete' in Japanese (You can use a pipe as usual.)
• [[wikt:curcubeu|]] → curcubeu (You can hide "wikt:" by a pipe trick.)

Bharationary-related userboxes:

• {{User admin Bharationary}}: "This user is an administrator on Bharationary" box.
