Swapnil Agarwal is a Houston-based entrepreneur and investor in the field of real estate.[1] Originally from India, he migrated to Texas in his early years. Launching Nitya Capital and Karya Property Management, Agarwal has been the EY U.S. Entrepreneur of the Year 2017.

Agarwal was born in Agra, India on May 25, 1981. He moved to Houston, Texas when he was in his teens to attend Hastings High School. He graduated in finance from University of Texas with a degree in Bachelors of Business Administration. He is married to Deepika Agarwal.[2][3]

Career[edit]

Agarwal started his career with a private equity fund in Hong Kong.[1] He worked there for seven years before establishing Nitya Capital, a real estate investment firm in 2013.[4][3] Under his leadership, the company, which employs 500 professionals[5] has grown to include over $1.5 billion in total assets, according to June 2019 report of Business Journal.[2] He has also founded Karya Property Management, a property management company in 2014. In 2018, it was ranked the fastest-growing private company in Houston by Inc. 5000.[4]
