Sumit Kumar Singh is an Indian politician from Bihar and a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Sumit Kumar Singh is Science and Technology minister in the Government of Bihar. Sumit Kumar Singh has emerged as the only Independent candidate to have secured a victory in the Bihar Assembly elections 2020. For the first time since Independence, just one candidate won the Assembly polls without any party affiliation. Singh comes from a political family which holds influence in the area.[1]
