St. Mary's Higher Secondary school, Karaikal is one of the oldest school in this region of India.

The school is located in just opposite to the Our Lady of Angels Church, Karaikal in Church street, and was founded in 1855.[1] The medium of Instruction is English and Tamil. Management of the school is private aided with 48 teaching and supporting staff, the head being Re.Fr.Antoniraj.C. The school is one of the important landmark in the town.
